I think I will eventually like Dark Sould, but I have to learn the 360 controller to do so, I may start out with Darskiders II with it, I don't think learning the controller while playing Dark Souls is a good idea it would probably end with with a broken controller.

You can play it with KB/Mouse, but the game is definitely designed for a controller.

I'm so sad that the PC port is that bad. That's just mind boggling. It's a shame PC gamers have to suffer and not fully enjoy such a great game. I really hope you get into it. The world is amazing later on in the game. Great enemies and bosses

Me: WTF? I don't have a shield!
slowly rounds corner
Arrows in the chest!

I race back and pillage a corpse...found my shield!

Yep! That's so awesome

Just to show you how everyone can learn the game and get past the difficulty curve, here's a little story.

My roommate last year does not play video games. He's one of those people that immediately associates it with nerdiness and doesn't play so he doesnt fall into that category. I showed him the trailers and he was slightly interested.

I got it at midnight release and brought it back. I convinced him to play it with me, and he was hooked. We stayed up till 5am playing it. For days after, I would come back home and he would be playing it. He would text me in class and be like "I can't stop thinking about Dark Souls." He ended up beating a boss I couldn't beat (i only had 3 tries) and got pretty good, despite never playing video games. He now has an affinity for games that have "bosses with big health bars."

I swear! I got 3 tries then had to go do something. It was a boss that one-shots you as soon as the fight starts (you'll know exactly what I'm talking about when you get to it).

Are you on my friends list? If so, you can use my "pawn" (AI teammate) that I created on Dragon's Dogma to kick some arse for you for free. You have to use some in game stuff to pay to use ones from people you aren't friends with.

No. It was the one where as soon as you walk through the fog, you get smashed by an overhead slam (dual wielder).

Ornstein Smough literally took me a 2 weeks. I had to stop playing for a while.

Just be glad you're not playing Demon's Souls. It's much harder, moreso for me because I imported the non-handicapped Asian version (still was completely in English with the same voice actors as US version). US version had a bug that set you to full white world tendency which lowered enemies health and damage dealt to you.

No way. I was shocked at how easy Demon's Souls was compared to Dark. It was slightly more frustrating because you had to start a level over when you die. Difficulty was much easier imo.
