It has been an amazing year for music and have heard a lot of solid albums but this is my Top 5 in no particular order...

I like grimes though

I've posted it before, but she played at red star in Baton Rouge last year to about 20 people.

Since I don't think either of these has been mentioned, I'll mention both of these as 2 of the better 2012 albums in my assessment:

Dinosaur Jr. - I Bet On Sky
Mark Lanegan Band - Blues Funeral

Harborview Hospital - (chill electronica backing one of the better voices in music today)
