if anyone is familiar with the book, we all could guess that the first movie is going to be much like FOTR. To simplify, it is going to be a lot of walking again.
I really do not know why everyone is freaking out about it be split into 3 movies. It is not like there is a lack of material to pull from Tolkien's world.

No doubt. I look forward to it myself. I'm hoping for a Tom bobadil sighting. Lot of non book readers and casual fans will bitch as per usual.

Exactly. Most people think Tolkien only wrote 4 books.

the problem is the actual book is like 200 pages and reads in an afternoon.
They are going to have to do some serious embellishment to get it to three hours.
I hope its good but fear its going to suck balls.
