Damn those are some big boys. I guess I never realized how huge they were
this year's LSU O-line was the 2nd or 3rd largest in the FBS .....

On a side note, did anyone notice the AFCA All American oline picks? Pay attention to the lack of giant tubbies........it's about athleticism and talent.

I think our offensive line has been some of the best in the country for last 5-10 years. If we were committed to running like Bama did last night, we would have the same results and hopefully the O-line would be getting the same praise as Bama's is today.

whatever actually happened to Hurst? All I ever heard is that he left for "personal reasons"

no IMHO
i trust miles and strudawa. whoever wins that spot next year definitely deserves it because there is a lot of top notch talent on the bench that will also be competing.

Fehoka 6'6 360
Davenport 6'4 330
Whoever is backup out of Turner and Williford will be first off the bench at either guard position. Fehoka sat out football this year so I doubt he will make the two deep unless he is something special. Hawkins will be the back up at LT and the next great one after Faulk leaves. It will be interesting who the backup to Porter is. I am guessing Washington or Austin here.

So Collins is stuck @ Guard?

I think so. La'el and Faulk will maul ppl next year
And I'm another one who thinks Turner is better than Williford. I think Williford and Hurst were a tad bit overrated

Vandal Alexander needs to learn how to pass protect, or be switched to guard. He gets dominated by every defensive end we play. He is an animal in the running game though.
alexander looks a little heavy, imo. he'll mature, shed some baby fat, get in better shape and be more mobile
faulk-collins-porter-turner-alexander, that could be very, very dominant

You do realize he's just a true freshman.
So, what you're saying is do not give him time to learn the position anymore and just move him?

the freshman coming in next year, Andy Dodd 6'4 320 from georgia is a center who will be competing for the second string spot.

somebodys going to get injured more than likely and we are going to have absolutely ridiculous depth. there was a huge gap in recruiting olineman in miles' tenure ie. tbob, dworczyk. from 09 to 10 our oline was below average. now that miles has had a good eight years to build a program, we are now beginning to see some monsters ie. alexander, collins, austin, edinbourgh, williford, pocic, boutte, turner, FEHOKA.

Not to mention another year in the strength and conditioning program to mold him into the player he needs to be at that position

Dodd is a guard, Malone is the center
