But the thing is, he's only a bad gameday coach when his calls don't work. Against Florida in 2007 he was the greatest gameday coach who ever lived. Bad playcalls only happen when the called play doesn't work. Has he had some time management gaffes? Who hasn't? We watch 12-14 LSU games a year and see all of his mistakes, whereas we watch 3-4 games of some of the other teams.

He has gotten far more conservative since 2007. You rarely see that guy coaching on game day anymore.
