Between the cocking bolt and the rear bolt, there is a horizontal lever that's pointing to the left. Is that horizontal lever the safety? If so, how is it manipulated from safe to fire without hitting the ocular bell of the scope?
Did your Mauser come w/ the cocking bolt already turned down?
