True or false?

Richt is playing for the title.

He's won just as many sec titles as les.

I see what you are saying...and notwithstanding that he is positioned where he is this season....I'm gonna agree with you. I think a better example may be Fulmer toward the end.

False.
Mack Brown is the coach they think Les Miles is.

Both are good coaches, Miles wins the big games (most of the time). Richt seems to lay an egg every year but I think his time has come to win the big one.

Georgia fans hate Richt and think he does just well enough to keep his job.
I still remember that SEC championship where they knew every play we were going to run even which was the primary WR. Then we did exactly what they expected until the last snap. After that, I figured they had the better coach.
But, Miles gets players fired up and I prefer him to anyone.

I live in Atlanta and have been watching Richt's performance for years. His teams are underachievers. He recruits tons of talent, but they rarely play up to it. They're undisciplined, both on and off the field. They're good this year but benefit from a very fortunate schedule (no Bama, LSU, or A&M from the West). So he wins a lot of games (usually against the lesser teams), but in my opinion, Richt is an underachiever.

I think Miles is more like Bobby Bowden. Will have a good team every year and the occasional great team.
Miles just won't have the longevity of BB because he took the LSU job later in life. But miles has the same kinds of teams.

I think Bowden is probably the best comparison to Miles for rational folks.

Good comparison to Bowden.

I think they have a lot of similar traits. Both get lots of talented players and are "players" coaches which leads to off the field issues b/c the players think they can get away with it.
Both have shown they are terrible clock managers at the end of the half or the game.
I think Miles may be more stubborn though. Overall I would classify both of them in between good and elite coaches with Miles getting the edge right now. If Richt wins the BCS title this year though he jumps ahead of Miles.

Miles is better than some think. In 1999 if we were told if we hired him, he'd win a BCS title, play for another and win 2/3 SEC titles and have a 10 win season in 6/8 years, we'd have screamed for LSU to bury him up to his eyeballs in money.
ETA: Mack Brown, Bobby Bowden, Philip Fulmer... Etc have never even remotely had an 8 year stretch to compare to Miles. Only one man in the BCS era of college football trumps him, and he happens to owe his rise to stardom to us.

I'd like to see Les Miles and Richt in the Big Cat Drill.
Who wins?

Bingo. To another degree, so is Bob Stoops.
