This is true. Nobody should be surprised that LSU fans are bitching about success.

We looked like shite winning
And now we are likely going to be the 5th SEC team selected to a bowl game.

Bama lost to aTm
UGA lost to USCe
FLA lost to UGA
LSU lost to Bama & FLA
aTm lost to LSU & FLA
USCe lost to LSU and FLA
What do you see here? All these teams are in the top 10 and they all beat each other. What team could you consider great from the top ten period?
Of course we were only good this year, but what about 2011, 2007, 2006, IMO we were great and dominant. When all is said and done, we should have 5 teams with 11 wins in a season in our conference. Take out aTm and to have 33% of your conference with only 2 loses for the year is just ridiculous. Shows you the power of the SEC is unmatched.

Yeah, I'd like the team to play better. But God help me, I hope I never get to the point where I treat wins the same as losses.

Which is something that they have no control over at this point. There's a possibility that an unranked or low ranked 8-5 Wisconsin team will play in the Rose Bowl. Several undeserving teams will play in "better" bowls than LSU, and several just as deserving will play in equal bowls. It's the way the system works.

Who gives a shite? Winning is winning...Notre Dame agrees with me.

Exactly. All you can do is try to win as many games as you can. 10-2 is a damn good record for and SEC program regardless of the season. The rest is up to voters and computers and media bias. The only way to get around any of that is to have a playoff. 10-2 should be good enough for an SEC team to get into a playoff system most years. I could understand bitching if LSU got into a playoff and stunk it up in the first game, but bitching about getting "selected" for a mid tier bowl is silly when you consider what this team went through to get to 10-2.

What do people really think of the state of the program? Does anyone really think the team is on a downward trajectory? This program is in very solid shape and is in position to contend for the national title next year like it did this year and the year before. Other than Saban and Meyer, who has done a better job than Miles in maintaining a program's excellence? I always get a kick out of the typical college age poster who talks about excellence and how we shouldn't stand for Miles' results. Please.

You have to look at it both ways because we easily could have lost to South Carolina, A&M, Auburn, and Ole Miss.
A&M and SCar were both out fo the game when they scored last, and made it look closer than it was.
Did you really feel like we were gonna lose to Auburn or Ole miss? i never did.
Arkansas was concerning but we did what we had to do against the pigs in their house.

Dude, you have got to get a hold of yourself. Things could be much worse than winning only 10 games. Are the "positigers" happy about not winning the SEC or going to the BCS...? Hell no! But they are happy to enjoy another GREAT and successful season of watching their Tigers win and win a lot.
Do you not remember the 90's? Scraping by and hoping to just go to a bowl. Hoping Florida didn't beat us by 40. These are great times to be a Tiger and if you can't appreciate consistent success, please go cheer for the Yankees or Lakers or Patriots. You sound like a bandwagon fan anyway.
Go Tigers...It was a GREAT season

The top 6 teams in the SEC have a 30-0 record against the bottom 8 teams in the SEC. And those teams weren't good out of conference either, so it's not like the bottom 8 teams were still good, and the top 6 just much much better.
The bottom 8 teams notched losses against teams like Rutgers, ULM, Syracuse, Texas, and Northwestern. They were bad teams that equaled a free win on any good team's schedule.
You look at the average SEC team schedule and they played at least 3 bad OOC cupcakes, and 4 or 5 bad in conference opponents. You beat one or two good teams and you've got a 10 win season in "the hardest conference in college football".
So no, until Auburn and Tennessee and Arkansas, at minimum, stop being bottom-feeders it won't be that impressive to go 10-2 in the SEC without at least looking at who you had to beat to get there.
Is Georgia impressive for beating a worn-out Florida team and a bunch of teams that barely broke .500?

Dude we're 1 play from playing UGA for the SEC. We're 2 or 3 plays from being undefeated.
That's the difference between good and great (yeah, we're about 4 or 5 plays from being 8-4, so what? We aren't).

Just wait til you see what Bama or Georgia does to Notre Dame. The top of the SEC is really good this year.

Terrible point. Auburn wins the natty 2 years ago and Arkansas was top 10 last year. They are awful this year but calling them bottom feeders is like saying Notre Dame is a perennial power as of late.

They are bottom feeders this year. They are the very definition of bottom feeders. Auburn won no SEC games. Arkansas beat only Auburn and Kentucky, who collectively won NO SEC games. This year they are bottom feeders. Auburn was pretty awful last year, as well, and Arkansas was better, but the flip-side is that Ole Miss, MSU and Florida were all worse (much worse, in Florida's case).
I didn't say they were perennial bottom feeders, but beating them this year means precisely nothing, ditto for beating Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Mississippi State.

No one will remember how many games we won, just that we went to the Poultry bowl
We won 12 in 2007 and won the BCS; We won 12 in 2006, and 13 in 2011, and didnt
Does anyone remember (outside of LSU fans) how many games we won when we went to the other poultry bowls? In 2008 we went to the Chick bowl with 7 wins; this year it takes 10
We went to the Cotton Bowl with 8 wins, wont get in this year with 10.
The number of games won is meaningless, if you are perceived as having finished poorly. Which is what we've down for 5 years now

Finished poorly to you means not winning the national title every year?? Are you serious?
That is an absurd expectation.

Beating A&M 41-24 in the Cotton Bowl isn't finishing poorly you twatbag. Top 5 finishes and being in the hunt for a national championship through the spring and summer are not meaningless, which is what we have a chance to do this year by winning our bowl game.
Some of you people really are pathetic. Expect LSU to win 14 games every single season and win a national title. There are no other schools competing for the same prize and LSU has WAY more talent than every other school. Why do we ever lose?

Well so far we played 4 of the other 5, 10 win teams
Bama played 2
USCe played 3
A&M played 3
Uga played 2
UF played 4
So perhaps not all 10+ wins are created equal
