Scale of 1 to 10. 1 being ok and 10 being creeped the hell out. Where does this gem come in?

The wife and I actually laugh every time we see dude in his swim trunks. Would of thought most would find it weird

Shitty. Not one thing about it makes me want to buy the product. If the scale was from 0 to 10 - I'd give it a 1 just for the initial WTF value. On no scale does it warrant a 2.
It's definitely in the "Ernest" category IMO.

Something definitely doesn't sit right with me about that commercial.

I think it is kinda funny. Definitely in the upper tier of commercials.

I was just saying I can't stand it. It's a big, fat, hairy dude with man boobs wearing a flesh colored speedo on the beach.
It's disturbing.

So a commercial titled "Whatever's Comfortable" made you uncomfortable.
Interesting...
I personally don't mind it all that much. Just a dude walking along the beach, nothing to see here.

I actually like it. Now any Sonic commercials make me want to instantly change the channel. Sometimes I wish an eighteen wheeler would loose control and plow through these two idiots ending the commercial shoot in a ball of fiery death

It's a commercial for whiskey and their slogan is "whatever's comfortable."
I don't like it. JMO.

Same here. There was one, I think it was last year, that was funny but aside from that one, it's another one to add to the list of dumb commercials.
The dude in the driver seat isn't that bad but that other guy is what makes it so annoying. And they never eat any of the food.
The weird guy has a piece of lettuce in his mouth but if you look at the sandwich, there's no bite mark.
Ugh.

I like the song...

I enjoy it. But I have a thing for rotund men in speedos. Still, I'm not gonna go out and purchase some Southern Comfort.

A better question might be what demographic are they trying to appeal too. Is it really just fat old 50 year old's or is it confident people in general?
I think it's the second part of my question. I also think the commercial is just a much more creative way of saying the same thing Dove soap is doing with John Elway and other celebrity athletes. Much more entertaining too. Bot share the theme of, "I'm comfortable in my own skin."
The whiskey guy is comfortable and to some extent confident too. I have never understood pudgy old guys that are comfortable going shirtless like that but that guys tan tells me he does it summer long. I occasionally see the same thing in real life. I figure they are financially successful guys that usually get what they want and have confidence because of that.
Some of them may have been real physical specimens in their youth or true bad-asses and have kept the confidence from that. Whatever the situation, the guy isn't letting his age, weight or abundance of body hair keep him from enjoying his beach time.
There are a lot more odd looking people in the world than beautiful people, especially for those of us that are over 40. Might as well be comfortable in your own skin like this guy and Elway.
