I think you proved my point. Te'o's defensive numbers were better than Woodson's - more tackles, more sacks, more fumbles, more tackles for a loss, and the same INTs (as an ILB no less).

Who cares that Moore had more sacks than Te'o? Why on earth would an ILB in a 3-4 scheme have more sacks than a pass-rushing DE?

For the record, Manning should have won over Woodson.

if you think manning should have won over woodson, and are pushing teo over manziel (who had a better year than peyton could dream of), then my head just exploded a bit

Among LINEBACKERS, Te'O doesn't even rank in the top 100. He is 6th on his own team in sacks.

Let's look at tackles for loss, which is a key stat playing inside backer in a 3-4 against the run.

He has a whopping 5.5 tackles for loss, which doesn't even rank in the top 100 for linebackers either.

Let's compare him to Kevin Minter (middle linebacker - LSU).

Minter has more tackles (111), more sacks (3), more tackles for loss (13.5), and the same amount of touchdowns (0)
