The governor had the teeth removed from the ones around the ring but they looked pretty spirited
which makes me think he was lying to andrea about removing their teeth and it being for show.

think this was more because they had been starving for months. Obviously because they had their jaws removed but it wasn't an instant thing.
that makes sense too.
also i was wondering if rick mentioning zombie scratches in the first season was just ignorance at the time. has anyone actually turned from a scratch?
seems like people have been scratched before, as well as covered in blood and guts almost every episode (from kills) and it doesn't seem to affect anyone.
i'm not taking shots at logic or continuity in the show like others. it just seems like a bite is the only thing that does the trick.

No reason to lie about it. And we saw earlier in the episode Merle pulling out some teeth from one of the ones they caught. It makes sense that they pulled the teeth because the crowd doesn't realize that, so they think it's all super dangerous when in actuality, it's not.

(insert disclaimer about everyone being infected/bite not "turning" people).
You would think Glenn would have gotten a few scratches in that fight with the walker. Heck, for a second I thought he got bitten on the arm. But then again he had that duck tape on his arm. Just one more thing duck tape is good for - anti zombie armor.

The only person who was scratched that they talked about was Big Tiny, he didn't last much longer.
