Hey, the dude abides. I'm just calling it like I see it. I hate for these kids today to have to watch state championship games from the bleachers because the same two programs get to play in the 2A title game year after year. Obviously, the LHSAA is not addressing some issues here.

U-High does NOT award athletic scholarships. We are actually a public school, and tuition is lower than most private schools.
Speaking of recruiting, a Calvary parent at the game was telling us that after Evangel's line got blown up in the playoffs last year, they went to Texas and rounded up 5 starters. And they looked like they averaged well over 300#. Hard for our 190# DE's to get pressure against that.

You can't be that stupid.

Watch out, they are going to accuse you of making this up.

You don't just "round up" 5 guys from Texas. You realize that people have to move, find a place to live in the district, get real jobs, and then have to be cleared by the LHSAA?

Blame everyone except Curtis and ECA for not being able to play where they want.

Don't lie! He was shipped in from Houston and is currently being fed steroids while simultaneously being held back 6 grades.

It's illegal to give tuition assistance based on athletics. If you are seriously claiming that there is no system in place to help families who need it you are mistaken.
There is nothing wrong with giving assistance to those families in need but you can't be that naive to think that some of your current players can afford your schools full tuition.

Evangel and Curtis play by the rules...both are scrutinized and audited! No one pulled players from Texas! Both programs are well run class acts...deal with it!

Not that hard. A parent gets a new job and wants to send their kid to a college prep school. Evangel been doing it for years.
Athletic scholarships are classified as academic or hardship waivers at some schools.

John Curtis never played in the state's highest classification. What makes anyone think that they would do it now?
I always lost respect for Curtis over that. Why not play in the highest classification?

How did this turn into a Curtis/Evangel hate thread? I am a Rummel alum and I can tell you that Curtis and Evangel do no recruit. The name of their programs is enough of a recruiting tool. If I was a young football player with a bright future I would have gone to either.
