I keep bringing this up and you keep brushing it off, but every member of the Big12 has signed its media rights away to the conference for the next 13 years. It takes a vote of, currently, 8 out of 10 members to dissolve the Big12 (rule is at least 70%). That's the only way (that I know of, I could be wrong) to get the media rights back. Name me the 8 teams that are going to vote for that. Iowa State, TCU, OK State, KState? F'n Baylor? There's 5 right there that would do anything possible to keep it together, which includes not voting to dissolve.
I just don't see how such a deal is going to hold up, also the whole process has been so shady and under wraps that I question what has really been resolved. And please tell me with a straight face that Texas and OU give a single frick about how many votes it takes to dissolve the conference. Much like with the ACC, the fact that such drastic measures were even needed tells you about the stability of the conference.

And hey, I was jazzed about Texas possibly going to the Pac12. I'm not some "Big12 or Die" fan. But the conference stayed together and took action to make sure it is extremely, extremely difficult to split apart. The ACC does not have the same difficulty.
I would be too, the Big 12 doesn't exactly offer many exciting opponents and travel destinations compared to the PAC 12.

The Pac12 and B1G have GoRs as well - were they worried about their stability too?
