And before the Maximuses of the world call me a sunshine pumper or some other such nonsense(as if i should be ashamed of being positive and actually getting joy following my favorite team. I dont understand the point otherwise) or even worse building the world's weakest strawman as is Max's m.o. and suggesting I think Les is perfect and can do no wrong. On the contrary, his flaws and quirks are why I love him. He wins--bizarrely enough--both in spite of AND because of them.

Nick Saban is a better football coach than Les Miles. But Ill be goddamned if I wouldnt choose Les every day of the fricking week to lead my team. And three times on Saturday.

Les Motherfricking Miles

I've been a fan of his since he got here. I've met him several times and there is absolutely no way I'd take another coach over him.

Not one. That includes Saban, Chip Kelly.

Doesn't matter.

I love our coach.

Def not just another FB coach.
Excels in chaos theory and intangibles.
The Antisaban.

ETA: It takes guts to admit on TV you may have been a flop, ......but don't you dare call one of my own out.
Something lacking in today's, bend over, PC world.
Have a nice day!

I concur, and your 1st paragraph was tl, so idnr, but I do feel confident that at some point in that paragraph that you probably threatened to kill someone, as you always do.

Whoa...Hey Maximus (aka the wind beneath my wings), looks like we may have another minion...Now, if we can only get Prominentwon on board.

Les Miles and his freakin' W-L record.

Hot Carl, one of my fav TD.com posters.

Just out of curiosity:

Do you think if Les got as many mulligans as Saban, he would be as successful?

I do.

After beating Urban Meyer in 2007 Florida game, after converting five critical 4th down plays, Miles walked off that field and straight into legend. He is one of the few coaches to become a legend in his own time. Like Genl Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia, the men believe in him and he believes in the men. Astonishing accomplishments start happening then, unexplainable by talent and numbers and x's and o's.

I'm with you, Hot Carl. I'll take Les every day over Dick Satan and as frustrated as I get with Les, I still wouldn't want anyone else. There is no one else who could possibly have given me the enjoyment I've had watching LSU football since Les arrived. Don't care what anyone else thinks. Les is a winning character. Every season isn't perfect, but every season is interesting and emotional, win or lose.
