I shouldn't have to watch an hour long talk show to realize that they meant for it to be absolutely clear that the zombie ate Lori. After last season's finale, the directors said on Talking Dead that when Lori pulled away from Rick after he killed Shane, she was actually mad at herself, not him. If that was how they meant it to come across, they completely dropped the ball.
