I'll admit, I wasn't too happy with the hiring of Coach Jones. But I'm excited about how he's fully embraced this opportunity and the work he's done so far in recruiting.

Good luck, Coach and get us back to the NCAA's.

It won't be a good year this year. We simply don't have the talent this year to compete, but UK and UF better have their laces tied tightly come next year though

Meh, I think they'll be better than most thing. Compete for the league? Probably not. Be in the top half? Think it's possible

We don't have enough depth to be top half this year. However, the talent level has improved. Next years class looks great. They will play a more up tempo still of ball. Things are looking up. I am excited for the season and the future.

I think if anything, we will be a dangerous team that can knock some teams off... I'm in full support no matter what happens just because of what the future holds!

The top half would really surprise me. I'm thinking 6-12 to 8-10 in the SEC.

I thin ka lot of people are overrating the actual team a bit just because of the (NOW) exciting new coach hire. We still only have 10 scholarship players and 5 of those guys are newcomers and the best prospect will need a year or so to get his college game in order.

Because of their lack of size and depth in the post, they're going to be a perimiter oriented team. That said, there's going to be nights where the shots (especially 3's) fall and they'll pull off a few unexpected big wins. However there's also going to be nights where those shots don't go and they'll probably lose a few WTF games.

Coach Johnny Jones will build a winner here in Baton Rouge. I am not expecting overwhelming things this year but the next few years will be better and I think going to the Dance for the first of many years will commence next year.

Agree, that's the way it will go. Pull some surprises but lose some we shouldn't, all depending on outside shooting. Remember we do have three starters returning, although admittedly, Hamilton and Storm were two big losses.

JOB actually has the talent to replace both of those guys if he can stay out of foul trouble and pass to the open man. If they double team Johnny all year it will certainly open up things for some of the other guys.
