It is a beast. Mix it with the target finder sight and it is game over. The guns description even says most damage per round in its class

it looks OP, yes.
but i have serious doubts the developers are that dumb to put in a FAL, which they knew from previous installations and modded controllers, was OP on Auto, back into the game with an attachment to make it auto. i have a feeling it'll shoot/feel a little different than you two suspect.
