Drew would never be able to take the punishment #19 did. He would HV been out of the league in less than five years. Johnny U's record held up until this year, in an era where throwing a football 30 times or more a game was unheard of.

My thread asked if the Saints might be relocated to a new city before the next season started.
And it still was better than this one.

I totally agree.
Did you know Johnny U never ever had one bad game. Ever. In his whole entire career. Pretty crazy. And that was in a time when raving beasts dressed in cotton pads and ripped each other apart on the field.
In todays game, not only is the strategy and play calling extremely simple, but where we once had highly position specified brutes playing defense, now we have somewhat athletic morons floating around in an easy stripped down version of football that's so boring and hollow it's hard to watch

I'm picking up on the sarcasm here.
Drew Brees is truly amazing. Trust me, having met him in person twice his lack of size is startling. The fact that he has become this record breaking beast is a testament to his will, intelligence and athleticism. His accuracy is amazing. The deep pass Devery Henderson missed was an incredible pass. I have seen plenty Johnny Unitas clips/highlights and spoke to my father who is a football junkie and loved Johnny U, he even agrees that Brees is a better ball player hands down. My father argued previously that Johnny U was a better QB than Joe Montana. He now has Brees better. He also says that Peyton Manning is the best of all time at the position - hard to argue, although an argument could be made at such a subjective list.
