MSU is a solid team and if they get a couple of breaks on Saturday, there is a very real possibility that the tide comes into DV with one loss.

I wouldn't bet money on it but this is a pretty good possibility. I've seen both teams play several times this year. Alabama hasn't faced anything like they'll face Saturday.

I don't really care either way and would rather see the Tigers blister an undefeated tide team, but its food for thought.

Anything is possible in college football, but this may be a little too much to hope for.

Our team needs to be 100% prepared whether it's a 7-1 Bama team or an 8-0 Bama team.

so, there is a chance we will have back to back defeats in Nov? I too, have been impressed with State - I just hope we are undefeated in Nov.

Not likely, but they can feel free to injure as many key players as possible though.

I'll settle for a physical game that takes a little starch out of their sails.

Worst case scenario. I'll take a 3 OT slugfest where Bama pulls out the victory tho.

The only way Bama loses is if Miss St commits no turnovers, gets 2 of their own and has less than 4 penalties in the game. You take away the turn over from Bama and it changes the whole complexion of the game.

The gumps have not had a really off game this year. A little slip in the execution and Bama could find itself in a slugmatch. The state dogs are going in with big expectations. Watch for a special game plan from the Mullen man and see if it can steal a win on the road with Bama looking ahead to LSU.

I find that if you read these threads in a Slingblade accent, you don't think they are so dumb.

Miss State last season was the only team to really play either Bama or LSU anywhere close.
Bama 24 Miss st 7
LSU 19 Miss st 6

While both Bama & LSU went on to beat all other by at least 30, or dam close to it. It could be interesting. I know the talking heads on ESPN are giving Miss St. alot of love, stating how thier secondary can man up on Bama's WR and hold thier own. Its college football, crazier things have happened

Neither Bama nor Miss St. has played a team as good as Texas A&M, Florida or South Carolina.

It is possible one or both of these teams is over-rated.

I am not suggesting that they are bad, but Alabama may not be unbeatable.

Possibly, but highly unlikely. Good luck State.
