I don't think thats true... ND has a pretty stout front 7. Their DBs are their weakness

Which CB for ND would start for LSU? Do you even know their names? Doubtful.
As for the DL, you are comparing apples to oranges. LSU recruits for a one-gap 4-3 defense, and the DEs are a little on the lighter, leaner side.
ND recruits for a two-gap 3-4 defense, much like Alabama. Big NT and long, jumbo DEs who can control 2 gaps.
It works both ways - not sure any of ND's DL would start at LSU. Then again, not sure any of LSU's DL would start at ND. They don't fit each other's scheme.
