Brees’ big day: New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees threw for 377 yards and four touchdowns. At halftime, Brees had 313 passing yards and was on pace to break Norm Van Brocklin’s 1951 regular-season record of 554 yards in a game.

Let's go for it against the Bucs in New Orleans. Their pass D is atrocious.

Too bad he only about 60 more the second half

I too was disappointed that Kromer pulled his foot off the gas. We might have to wait for SP to come back to enter eff you mode.

I want his consecutive TD pass to ride until Brady falls off his current 39 game streak.
Here's some trivia...
Brees is #7 in alltime career lowest sack % at 3.68%. Only Peyton is better among active players, 3rd at 3.14%. Marino 2nd 3.13%
The #1 alltime lowest sack percentage is by a guy that started more games for the Saints than any other team he played for. He didn't get sacked but knew how to throw some beautiful picks. Who ya got?

Usually this statline is the result of being down big the entire game and having to throw on every play.

the trivia answer is...
Steve Walsh at 2.9%
as said, he could fling it to avoid a sack, prolly reflected in his career 3.8% INT rate
speaking of Target...
wouldn't that be a good sponsorship for Brees to get hooked up with? Do the showdown with an Olympic archer but use the Target logo. Drew sez "You've got good aim if you go to Target"

I don't know that we will be down, we will just have to be in a shootout. I am worried that we will be in those types of games all year.

great Tom Brady interview commenting on how every NFL game is a dogfight. Shootouts are fine as long as you find a way to win.

Van Brocklin passed for 554 yards during a 54-14 rout of the New York Yanks...

I'd love to see the numbers Drew could put up if Payton comes back next year for a "frick you, NFL" tour and runs the score up on everyone.
