Does anyone remember what year we played USC(w) in Tiger Stadium? I believe USC was Ranked #1 at the time and Cholly Mac was our coach.

Never heard of this before, did we play USC? Did people even care about them back then? Probably didn't create much interest with our fans. Must have been a forgettable game.

LSU kicked their arse all night long and USC won at the end of game on a very shotty call. Close game,,can't remember the score. Low scoring though. Like 13-7 or 12-10 or something. Hell that was 34 years ago. I was 31 then and yes it was a big deal. Tiger stadium was rocking and fans hated USC. They had some left handed **** for QB. Can't remember his name, hell,I can't even remember mine back then.

The GREATEST TIGER STADIUM CROWD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was there and it was UNREAL. LSU had ZERO chance against USC, But played the BEST GAME I have EVER seen by a team that should have gotten beaten soundly. It was like WOW. We have a chance in this thing. I felt SOOO bad for those players that were given NO CHANCE and played the way they did. I give them a

I can't imagine what it was like to go to LSU in the late 70s/early 80s. It must have been insane.

I was there. I held season tickets from77-88 and it was the greatest atmosphere for a game ever. Comdoms/Trojans were hanging everywhere at the gates. Those were the greatest days for fan excitement ever. I was in my mid-20's then, just got married to a Miss.State girl and she was blown away. Mike Anderson was there,Edwin Edwards, Maravich [I believe]. The pre-game Hilton party with Irma Thomas was awesome. We lost 12-7 I believe, but it helped us against Florida State[Bowden],Florida, and Tennessee, all top 5 then.

Paul McDonald I believe was the QB, he was left handed. Maravich came much later

to this day,
South End Zone, Upper Deck, Row 3, looking down the middle of the goal post.....
the loudest game I've attended in Tiger Stadium.

I was about 22 years old then and had never been to an LSU football game. I was an Ohio State fan due to growing up there.
So I am playing tennis right there beside Tiger Stadium during this game and hearing that ROAR emanate from the concrete bowl over and over again. It took a few years but that night I will never forget as long as I live. Won the tennis match and started my education in the Geaux Zone. By the way, I WAS in the dome and screaming for LSU when they beat the Buckeyes for the BSCNC...
