I doubt that is me since I keep it in my backyard.
And wow... just read the rest of this thread and had a good laugh.
I am going to give the pallets one more try. If it is too much then ill just chop it up and use it for fire wood in my pit this winter.
I do realize I can buy cheap wood for the things I need it for, but I just had access to FREE pallets, so thought I would try to use them.
I do appreciate all the input though. Oh and I would never have taken this to the OT. I skim through the OB every time I'm online. Read everything but the hunting threads. FYI.

I have some old pallets by the barn. I'm going burn them before Mrs Dust sees something on Pinterest about them.

DO IT
They are such a pain to work with. I am leaning more and more towards buying some wood from HD, sanding them and staining them and doing my projects with that.
I love on all these DIY sites they leave out the part about taking apart these pallets that are stapled together. Last weekend I ended up scraping my shin and bleeding, now have an ugly scab.

I brought some home from our shop and after breaking a few apart i scrapped that idea and decided to just build our coffee table out of off the shelf construction lumber.

Just save yourself some time and go by some fence boards at lowe’s or home depot

Very late to this and I ain't reading it all. I'm sure it's been said, but sawzall the nails holding the slats to the runners. If the nail heads are in the way punch them out with a nail punch or 16P nail.

I made a dog house for the dog out of a pallet from work and some plywood I already had. Stupid bastard would rather stand in the rain than go in there. I keep screaming, "ITS YOUR HOME DOG GO IN YOUR frickING HOME!"

Can't get one bitch in and can't get the bitch out, right? JK
Read a little more of this thread. Buy the frickin' wood and womenz are rather silly.
