Geno Smith-Return Your Prematurely Awarded Heisman Trophy

After the last 2 weeks, a large number of college football "experts" had already given the Heisman Trophy to Geno Smith. As it turns out, he's a mere mortal after all. I wish the media would spend more time reporting and analyzing the games instead of picking a player to hype. Ok, I'll step down from the soap box now.
And oh yeah.....GEAUX TIGERS!

Smith should still be the Heisman winner as of today. I mean who else would you give it to? Braxton Miller is probably 2 in the club house and he isn't deserving of it

Agree. ESPN is a scourge on the game. They manipulate and frame big issues (like the Heisman) and they do no investigative and real reporting. And their "analysts" are awful.

That's my point exactly. There is no need for us, or the media, to feel like there is an obligation to give it to anyone this early in the season. In addition, there's especially no need to name a winner on a week by week basis based upon whoever happens to have a good game that particular week. Up until the past few years, the media would name a number of contenders during the preseason and follow them during the season, adding other contenders as needed. But lately, early in the season the media has made one of the front runners the "winner" while there's still MUCH football to be played. I'd like to see them let the season play itself out.
