I don't know. Brees may extend it a bit. What active player has the second longest streak? Easier in a dome too...at least half your games.

Only 4 QBs are even in double-digits

Brees 48
Brady 37
Ryan 20
Manning 12

Yes, Brady being so close does diminish the wow factor of the record a little bit (as did him being so close in yards last year) but it is still an incredible record.

Speaking of shamelessly pursuing records for the sake of records

I don't understand the thinking behind this shite. Because ONE other QB is close to something, that somehow makes it a commonplace record that doesn't deserve praise?

The same bullshite happened last year with the yards as you mentioned. The record stood for a long arse time despite more and more offenses becoming pass happy. ONE other person passed it, so why does it default to "well that's just not impressive" instead of "these TWO are fricking outstanding to break this record that stood so long."

Same with the consecutive TD game record. Brady may pass it later this year, that doesn't diminish what Brees accomplished, that makes Brady reach a hell of a milestone as well. Just so happens they both lined up to do it the same year. Two people passing 47 in the 2012 doesn't change 47 from being a record for over 50 damn years.

Only makes the records greater IMO. The 'Golden Boy', one of the best ever. Brees one-ups him. Pretty impressive actually.
