Where does this coaching change come from?
Les isn't going anywhere.
quote:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- ESPN Watch List inside linebacker Kain Daub (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) will likely be one of the top linebackers in the country next year. After the 6-foot-3, 227-pound athlete committed to LSU on July 14, he shut down his recruitment. But now he is thinking about opening things back up.
"My LSU commit is still pretty solid, but I think I'm going to open up the doors up again," Daub said. "Anything could happen, there could be a coaching change and I just want something to fall back on and not just close all doors just because I committed to LSU."
Daub recently transferred from Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Nease to Sandalwood High School and is now playing alongside Alabama defensive end commit DeMarcus Walker. Daub, who has more than 15 offers, said Walker continually tries to get him to switch to Alabama.

He's saying that's what it would take to get him to go elsewhere

Me thinks other coaching staffs are showing him selected posts on the rant and telling him things that aren't true.

This board has pretty much always policed itself. The consensus has always been to keep the bitching about the team elsewhere so we would prefer you not post your opinions about them here.
very well written....

so expecting 3 or more losses is ACCEPTABLE?? maybe back in 95-96, when i was fricking ECSTATIC that we would even make the Independence Bowl….
times have changed for a majority of the fan base…. elite seasons are expected…. i know we cannot and will not win a National Championship every year, but i do expect to have a shot at the SEC every year, with our talent alone
Why do you have to expect the same record every year? Either 13-1 or 9-3 every year is stupid. If you expect to win 12-13 games every year, you are setting yourself up for disappointment, and quite frankly are diminishing the accomplishment of going 13-1. Sometimes circumstances intervene, injuries mount, you have a year like 2006 where we played 4 teams that were ranked in the top 10 at some point on the road, other teams are good. You have to accept that.
The program is in a position to compete every year and is competing every year. We have 1 loss right now, just like in 2003 and just like 2006, 2008 Florida and 2011 Alabama. That doesn't mean a 9-3 season is not possible. If you start freaking out and firing coaches because of a less than stellar season in the toughest conference in CFB, you will be back to the 90's a lot faster.

and your daughter might grow up to hate you.
i'm not saying i'm going to lock her in a closet and refuse to let her out if she makes another C, asshat…. i'm saying that i will let her know she's done better than she's currently displaying…. get back on track…. she's better than that…. you know "constructive criticism"…
is this not a concept to anyone???
i tried the constructive criticism after the Auburn game, but after seeing the EXACT SAME thing vs. Towson, and now Florida, i've dropped the "constructive" part….
the fact is Daub was a very, very big surprise committ that even those of us that following recruiting almost religiously didn't really see coming…. you have to question if it was just the emotion of the offer, the emotion of the percieved value by the coaches, etc, vs. a true desire to be at LSU…. to have a guy from another state as a surprise commit sorta backtracking a bit, you have to put the option on the table that MAYBE he won't be at LSU…. for now, he's a verbal commit… i was expressing my OPINION, just as everyone else here does…. last i checked, i could still do that….

Dont try to talk sense here. It doesnt work, and the ones that agree with you already know it.

1.) i don't expect a "record", per se, but I do expect to be in the running for the SEC championship EVERY YEAR… at this point, that seems to be looking dim, to put it graciously….
2.) what number of games lost is a tolerable amount for you? 3? 4? we go to the Chik Fil A Bowl every year with that attitude, and when we start making more appearances there vs. NC's, while other SEC team who will remain nameless are making those NC's apperances, you'll see a "slipping" effect… won't be overnight, but it will start to happen…. you think we went through the early 90's out of chance???
3.) the "accomplishment" of 13-1 is my "expectation", since it means we won the SEC Championship…. but it's not looking very likely that we are going 13-1, nor that we will be playing for the SEC championship either, as of right now….

i honestly could give a flying frick what anyone of you slapdicks think about me, but i will vehemently defend my OPINION as long as i have one… after all, you have your right to voice your opinion, right?

Yes you can.
You keep arguing about about having the right to be critical. That's not the point. The point is where you choose to do it and why the recruiting board is or isn't the place. Feel free to argue it is the place because I don't get it.
You keep trying to convey the enormity of your LSU love. None of us doubt you. If you didn't care you wouldn't be here. Minus the Bama trolls, we are all LSU fans.
The only conclusion I can come to is you are an argumentative type and the rant does not afford the same level of resistance as you are getting here. In other words, you're looking for an fight. If this perception is inaccurate I apologize.
Prove me wrong with a good argument for the LSU Recruiting board being the best place for you to argue what is and isn't acceptable for LSU fans, who is and isn't a "good" LSU fan and how we should raise our children. I still don't get it.

i'd love for him to honor the verbal, but in reality, we will probably lose him…. Bama is just dominating at all levels right now, and that's what these recruits are seeing…. when we struggle, it hurts recruiting, especially when we struggle on National TV, looking like we did Saturday..
i don't see "bitching" about the team in my OP… what i did say, is we struggled on National TV…. unless i was watching a totally different game than most of you, we DID struggle…. not bitching, being honest…. what i did say is Bama is dominating right now…. unless you guys know something i don't, it surely looks like they are the much stronger team CURRENTLY, again, not bitching, being honest…. what i said was games like Saturday can hurt in recruiting…. knowing the recruiting game like a majority of the RB "gurus", we all know that perception is greater than reality… if the perception of a program is not as good, regardless of how talented the team actually is, that hurts recruiting…. what i did not say is that we will suck dick in recruiting, that we suck dick as a team, etc….. again, not bitching, but being honest….. soo…

The consensus has always been to keep the bitching about the team elsewhere so we would prefer you not post your opinions about them here.
1.) as i have pointed out, i wasn't bitching… i was being honest, as a large majority of the fan base sorta sees it…
b.) i don't see anything that says this board is any different in terms of voicing your opinion, as long as it's respectful to other members….
iii.) you can PREFER what ever you like…

If this site was run by the government, then yes.
Its not, so technically, just because you have an opinion, doesn't necessarily mean you can voice it, if the powers that be decided you couldn't.

re-read my OP… i have a feeling you didn't….. then read the last post i made, for my justification of why it seems everyone is a bit "touchy" about any PERCEIVED negativity….. i mean, look i get it… i'm not the overall most postive, optimistic person on earth, especially here…. but in this ONE instance, the criticism is uncalled for….. even moronic….
