Uhhhh...

Vegas lines have no intelligence. They are dictated by the masses betting.

They are not truly free moving. The lines are set inititally and adjusted subsequently as bets come in. They dont just have a standard line for all games they put out and watch it move. They have to make the line attractive to both sides, which means more bets.

So yes, there has to be some intelligence involved in creating lines.

Not quite hoss. Ever heard of reverse line movement?

Also, while Vegas is in it for money, they clearly have a reasoning for putting the over/under at 40 while LSU is favored & it's not bc they think LSU will score 13 points.

By intelligence you mean seasoned bettors before the line is available to the public.

Gotcha. No shite. And LMAO.

I won't argue 13 points for LSU, it's silly. Although I'm sure he can side bet that against odds Vegas or Internationally.

But to use Vegas odds as an argument of smarter/dumber is well, dumber. Vegas don't care. The ou could be 7 with even betting and the bookies are fine.

It's like a asking a stripper if she thinks you're sexy.
