I mean the coaches are supposed to teach proper execution with technique and expertise... Does anybody think that Miles, Stud are just not good teachers thus coaches??? I see plenty of other teams with equal talent that execute much better than This team does on offense...

Not only that but sooner or later the coaching staff has to get a grasp on which plays they can execute well
If they can't execute the plays that we're running then we need to look at making adjustments

How about teams with LESS talent. See NC State yesterday. And by the way, they were missing starters on their OL.

You have to hire that out and bring in people underneath you to teach tech and fundamentals. You be the judge whether we have it or not. My take I'm not too picky I just want us to look like we want to score points and not go in 3rd and Alleman.

Bruh, players at a div1 program should know technique. A player knows not to carry the ball like a loaf of bread. Players know not to field punts inside the ten.

You would think that by week 6 they would know what this offense can and can't do.... Unbelievable. If you can't teach or don't teach how to execute, how will the players know how to get better?

ULM executes better than LSU on offense, and that certainly isn't due to talent. Blaming the players is especially stupid when the coaches are responsible for recruiting the players and teaching them to execute.
If the players are the problem then why are our coaches recruiting terrible players who can't be taught anything?

Coaches coach and players have to play. you can teach a man to fish, but if he fishes with a empty hook he won't catch, like our wide-outs

Playing at home with a desire and want to play good football.

Oh no, the old Saints mantra (3rd and Anderson) is being reborn.

Better than 3rd and Wing. No disrespect to Baton Rouge's most famous Aussie.

Exactly. High school kids need to be taught proper technique in order to execute well on the college level. I would guess that they need constant attention to it....isn't that why they watch film??? To see what they did wrong in order to execute better next time? Who's teaching our guys??? Whoever it is....they suck !!!

Why are our coaches recruiting players who can't play?
Posted on 10/7/12 at 6:50 pm to nf
I would think they can play, they're just not being coached well....

There is great highschool players that can't keep up in college, look at the great college players in the past that couldn't make it in the pros

Wrong. Blaming the coaches for a player doing something you're taught not to do in PEEWEE is dumb. Come on. These players are a step away from nfl and I promise not much technique is taught in the NFL. Passed your rookie year.

It's got to be lack of leadership, poor coaching and motivation(more coaching)... The offense just doesn't seem together like a team should be and it's week frickin 7 !!! frick miles !!!

So we recruited an entire offense that can't keep up? Including guys like OBJ who did fine last year when they were given a chance?
Either our offensive coaches are really bad at coaching or they are really bad at evaluating talent. Either way, they are accountable.
Though, to be clear, I blame our coaches for wasting talent. These kids can play. We didn't just miraculously bust on ever WR and RB and O-Lineman this year. They aren't being given the tools to succeed by the coaches. I know this because I've watched ULM perform better than LSU this year on offense, and I KNOW that it isn't because they have better players.
