Disagree.

We have 4 great RBs that can start at any school in the SEC. Having a mobile QB simply took carries away from them. The problem is no one respects the passing game. It doesn't help that we have an offensive line that is incapable of decent pass protection.

I was watching some old highlights with JJ and RP and I really do miss having a mobile QB. It gives us so many more options with our very conservative playbook. I think that it is almost neccesary for Miles' offense to work properly. I do like the fact that he has taken out the short side option and most of the other QB runs we are accustomed to seeing. At least he is working with what he has instead of trying to fit Mett in to the scheme. I sure hope Jennings pans out.

the most accurate post I've seen in 2 weeks!! This became obvious to me halftime of the Auburn game!!

I'm still clueless as to what JJ did in the first bama game that "saved our arse" other than underthrow shep on what would have been a sure td

once the rematch was on, we had no chance. Im still trying to figure out how some of yall think a diff qb would have made a diff. And yes we need a mobile qb, again Flynn was as good as anyone weve had under miles running the option. Jamarcus would have been sacked a lot more if he wasnt a freaking dlinemen.

Well, he came in and ran the option effectively enough with Ford, to maintain drives long enough to keep our defense fresh. The Lee + Ware offense was going 3-out or throwing picks too much.

As the game went along, Alabama's defense started to wear down some, while ours stayed at the same level. By the end, we had out-gained them on the ground and were stuffing their offense. Remember Ford's "should have been a TD" run, vs Bama going backwards?

We don't need a QB that can scramble. We need an OC that can call plays that don't have 2 or a 1 man route. Any team can cover 2 guys when they drop 6 in coverage. An O Line coach for a Offensive Coordinator is BULL shite!! There is no imagination on the offensive side of the ball.

Again, at some point common sense does prevail.

Very true, but we arent getting rid of Les anytime soon and I wonder if he will ever let an OC have full control of the offense. With that said, if Les is gonna do the playcalling, he is less predictable and a little more effecient when he has a mobile qb. That could all change if we shore up the oline and receivers start catching the ball more often. Im hoping that we have been running a very vanilla offense in the first quarter of the season. I know that their is not a secret playbook, but Les always seems to be setting teams up for a more complex version of the same plays. Its seems he shows some looks and lulls you to sleep at times.

If it weren't for JJ and his mobility, no way we walk out of Alabama with a win last year on 11/5.

Might have been a good thing now from what we know to walk out of that game with a loss.
