My .02 on rule changes:

I will vote against anything I deem to make the league less competitive, or that rewards teams selling out.

I also will vote against anything that cannot be policed/controlled by ESPN. I think we set ourselves up for a sticky situation when making rules outside of the leagues possible settings.

I'm in full support for the traditional IR. Especially if we limit weekly transactions.

Is it an option to expand rosters, to say 18 or 20 (just tossing out numbers), have no FA pickups during the week, and run waivers every Sunday night?
I know quite a few baseball leagues that do this to eliminate any streaming for cats.

You will have the extra spots to not be hurt with rostering and injured guy or two. And also it'll give everyone a fair shot based on waiver priority and top emerging FAs each week. Not just who happens to be around the CPU to snag the next Jeremy Lin.

well let me say that scouting out players and what they're doing does take focus and work

for example, i got klay thompson when his situation improved. i knew what he was doing b/c i had been keeping track of him.

now rubio i got via waiver steal, but i would have regardless of the system b/c i saved my top waiver priority for just that situation

It is, but I am strongly against this.

No, you're only giving teams with top waiver priority in that particular week a chance. You have maybe 3-5 real impact players that come out if nowhere, if that. You're basically screwed if you're not high on the waiver order for a particular week. I'm not down for providing Obamacare for the league. I'd rather reward guys for paying attention and being active.

Personally I will vote to reduce f/a acquisitions to 4. There's not really much that needs to be fixed. Also I would prefer a live draft because a slow draft can be pretty taxing on a commish, but if others are cool with helping out then I'm cool with a slow draft too.

I'd be down with this. Great idea.
