I don't see it. He looks emotionless on the sidelines during games. He can't do it all, but if he's showing dejection, Kromer looking totally clueless, Spags showing some emotion but no effect on the D...i.e.,add all this up = Zero field leadership from coaches and/or players.

I was wondering what his deal was. He was sitting on the opposite bench by himself when the offense was off the field.

You might get bashed for questioning the almighty Drew, but I tend to agree with you. He looks detached, not his normal self.

His, mentor, coach, coordinator, gameplanner, and commander has to call Roger Goodell everytime he wants to say hello. My guess, he doesnt say hello anymore. Plus add in everything else going on between his team, the NFLPA, and the NFL and you're damn right he looks detached. I feel sorry for the guy. Why doesnt Carmichael ever say a fricking word to him. Ever?

Dude, that's silly. Sorry, but there are at least 6 billion people that deserve sympathy more than Drew Brees. Don't be silly. He sat out for a big payday, costing younger players who need it more. For what? Another Jimmy Johns franchise? He acted rather selfishly this offseason and it seems to be extending into the season with a lack of desire on the part of the entire offense.

Probaly has nothing to do with any other circumstances. All Drew's fault for holding out. You're right.

I didn't say there weren't other issues, but do you really think the leader holding out for a bigger chunk of the shared pie is good for morale? I know you'll just deflect, but I wanted to put you on record deflecting.

Look, the guy is the all-time MVP of the franchise, but he is far from infallible.

All these are good points but we need him to show more leadership. He's our franchise. I understand he can't carry the entire burden of this clusterfrick of a situation. I was expecting more emotion from him.

Yet you have no coherent argument against any of it. You just post an emoticon like a typical internet waterhead who has no intelligible basis from which to argue.

You think Graham goes to catch a ball and thinks nevermind, Drew wanted too much money this offseason? All great players have held out over contract issues, no i dont think it affects moral.

Name a young player who didnt get paid and legitimately should of because Drew Brees held out.

I never said he was.

You mean people with a job at decent pay in a decent work environment in America? Yeah i feel real sorry for them.

Everyone is starting to realize the true fire, passion, and emotion of our team stemmed from SP, not Drew Brees, and it hurts to see that.

Great question and mind-boggling at the same time. I dont think Carmichael has said 5 words total to anyone on the team. He just stands there.

I never said that at all, but they clearly have their heads up their asses. The word is "morale." Different meaning.

Where do you think Brees' increased salary is coming from? Is Jimmy John's kicking in $2M outside of the league salary cap rules?

You sarcastically feel for someone working part time for $8/hr, but you seriously feel sorry for a QB making $40M this year. Makes sense.
