Not me. Because that would mean Community is canceled.
ETA: But that's why I listed her, and all the others. They're currently on shows that are in danger of not making it to next season.

I'd like to see Ashley Greene for the role. I can't check IMDB from here so I don't know what she has coming up.

I don't hate him overwhelmingly. I just don't like him really.
And they had a couple of funny moments last night, but overall they just annoy me a lot lately (they haven't always done that).

frick that. Ted Schmosbey doesn't deserve Alison Brie. Not even in fictional TV land.

Funniest episode in a long time.

I think too many of you are getting your hopes up about seeing much of what happens with meeting the mother. I read an interview recently with Carter Bays who seemed to foreshadow that there won't be much, if any, Ted + Mother episodes. Unfortunately I can't find the link.

Well hes supposed to meet her at the end of this season and they have a whole nother season to go. What else could they do with all that time

That had to have been before they announced the new season. If we don't see any relationship between him and the mother then I don't know what the hell the next season will be about

It would be more filler, like the last couple seasons.
I think one reason I think the show got stale is that with the exception of about a dozen episodes (of close to 180), every episode was directed by the same person. Even if the writing changes, having the same director every time limits ideas on how to grow the characters and try new things.

To be fair, the show hasn't ever really been about him meeting the mother. It's just stories about him and his friends within the framework of coming close to meeting the mother so many times.
If there's anything more than an episode or so about the mother, then it will be a little disappointing...like some have said, the show should end with the whole "and THAT is how I met your mother.." thing.

See, I think this is a huge cop out. We've spent 8 seasons watching Ted go from girl to girl. We see him almost get married, hook up with old girlfriends, go back and forth with Robin. Everytime, Ted has been the ultimate problem. So now I really want to know, why this girl? What is so different about her that makes Ted finally get out of his own way?
After 8 years, I would hope the writers would do better than just a simple "random chick he meets at Barney's wedding that happens to loosely fit in the story."

Why does he have to meet the mother at the end of this season? The writers haven't said that.

2 reasons:
#1: Read my post. We want to know "Why this girl?" It's gonna take more than just a chance encounter and quick montage back thru the series to prove that this girl makes Ted finally grow up.
#2: If they dont spend next season showing Ted and the mothers relationship developing, what the hell are they gonna spend 23 episodes on? Post Bachelor Barney will be entertaining for a little while, as will Marshall and Lilly dealing with the terrible twos. But I'll be disappointed if its another season full of filler.

He meets her at Barney and Robins wedding, which they have clearly stated was in May 2013 (hint: thats when this season ends)
I dont see how he could not meet her onthe season finale

Exactly. He meets her this Season Finale. I don't think there's any question.
I'm willing to bet he meets her the once and then spends all of next season searching for her or some bullshite like that.

I agree with this, which is why I don't get bothered when Ted is a bitch with a girl

I disagree with you here though. Like you said above, its about the stories he and his friends shared together including showing them grow and develop throughout the show.
For example:
We saw Marshall and Lily go through a break up, get back together, get married, finally mature enough to have a kid. Marshall eventually makes the decision to turn down his high paying job to take his dream job and help the environment. Lily had to give up on her dream as a painter to be with Marshall and start a family.
We saw Barney move on from one night stands with sluts and Robin moving on from meaningless relationships and to be able to finally settle down together.
Therefore, I think its only fair that we get to see Ted's final story and see him develop and finally be with the mother and see how he got that way. We've seen so much from all of the characters and how they developed and changed to finally get to the point where they're settled down and married/have kids. I think we'll see the same from Ted.

This show needs to come on later than 7pm. I always remeber at about 7:30 that it is Monday and miss the show. Not that I am missing much at this point.

Seems some of you people don't understand this is just a silly sitcom....try not to expect more than a few funny quips and you will be all good.
And the problem with the show has not been barney, Lilly, and Marshall growing up....its robin. She seems utterly depressed always now.
