Yea it doesnt take away enough to warrant paying 2x the cost though. If you saved 10k on the initial purchase then thats 2.5 Disney Cruises for a family of 4 that would have eaten up the equivalent of 5 years of points alone. Thats not worth it.

I bought a fixed week at Wyndam Pagosa through a re-seller for $1295 plus fees for a total of about $1800 three years ago. It is a red week and I have swapped it for weeks in Gatlinburg and Branson. The price of DVC turned me off and I have a deeded property that is transferrable and never expires. Works for me. My sister has DVC that she likes. To each his own...
