Just hours after helping his team beat the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, Falcons running back Michael Turner was in the Gwinnett County Jail, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.
Turner, 30, of Suwanee, was booked into the jail just after 5 a.m., and was released about two hours later on $2,179 bond, according to jail records.
Details surrounding the arrest were not immediately available.

That was the report on the radio. Seemed to be a sure thing, Gwinnett County. Turner and responsibility do not go hand in hand as evidenced by his baby making prowess and unhealthy relationships.

I imagine he wasn't going very fast...

How any pro athlete does not have a "driver" is beyond me.
They all have legitimate friends and "hangers-on" or a "posse" with them? Did I buy all the drinks? Am I the reason all the bitches at least came over to talk? Then YOU are driving the fricking car so keep your shite together because here are the keys. And if you take me anywhere other than Whataburger on the way home I am fricking you up.

The amount of DUIs by professional athletes is ridiculous. You're rich. I'm sure you can afford a cab ride home.

They are a ton of athlete DUIs because there are no real repercussions for them

Go to jail at 5am, get out a couple hours later. Yeah that sounds like what would've happened to everybody else.

I got a DUI and that's pretty much what happened to me.

He was going very slow, but he was trying to run people over. I doubt he made it very far before the cops stopped him.

Most states require a certain amount of time to hold you, especially with DWIs where you have to sober up before they let you leave.

The amount of time you're held depends on what you blew. If he blew a .10, he very well could be out in an hour or two. Still a fricking moron though for all his past transgressions.

Obviously none of us know what its like to be a professional athlete but how or why they do not have personal drivers is beyond me.
