They need designated "sit down" sections. Otherwise, you need to stand your arse up.

Ok guilty as charged and proudly so.

Just be considerate of people around you, is it that hard really? If you are blocking someones view sit down. Its not that hard, when its time to stand, everyone is standing. Sit when everyone sits. If you are standing up in front of people and everyone around you is sitting, than you are an inconsiderate jerk.

Nah. It's a football game. Not the Opera.

I don't stand for every play, but I would never tell someone to sit because I couldn't see. The only time it would be acceptable to ask someone to sit/move is if the person behind is legitimately handicapped and cannot stand (but there are assigned areas for this.)

So if there is this person standing in front of you who prevents you from seeing several plays, you would just sit there with a beatific smile on your face and say nothing?
Perhaps pass the time chanting your mantra?
Ok

No.

It's not really a mantra. It's just a combination of common sense and not being a whiny bitch.

That's the beauty of watching the game in the student section, as you will never have to worry about something like that! Students are standing from the beginning to the ending!

I was referring to the student section, but I encouage everyone in the stadium to stand. I purposely get NEZ tickets and my group goes into the SS so we can stand all game. Brings more intensity and it is easier to clap, yell, and stomp on the bleachers when we're on defense.

So this arguement only applies to you....or can it be reversed for the dumbasses who obstruct other paying fans views?

This is society today..it's all about me and the affects of my actions on others means nothing! This is the same argument that is going on in the SS vulgarity thread.

Dude, I know you are young and healthy , but not everyone else is. I understand standing and cheering during times that warrant it but standing the whole game is impossible for many.
Personally, I don't go to the games anymore because of my back. I have had five vertebral fractures and I can't stand for three or four hours.
The last game I went to was a year after I broke L1,2,3. I could only stand sporadically. The kids in front of me stood the whole game, (tv timeouts, never sat down) and I couldn't see anything but their arse the whole game. People around me bitched but it didn't help. That was 10or 12 years ago.
I just don't go anymore.
The younger a person is the less respect they have for others and they usually have a "frick everyone, I'm doing what I want to" attitude. As they mature, they tend to not act so shitty.
While it's fine to stand and cheer when there are great plays or a big defensive stand on third down, you can still cheer while sitting down and not ruining the game for those around you.

It's simple...stand when the person stands in front of you...sit when the person in front of you sits down. If anyone complains about you standing, inform them even if you sat, they still wouldn't be able to see with the person in front of you standing!

Exactly...standing for the kickoff, a big play, a touchdown, etc. is expected.....no reason to stand the whole game unless you're in the SS.

This sums up the entire thread. If you don't agree, then you prove my point. It's about maturity, plain and simple.

maybe (and i know it sounds heartless) but maybe you should realize that you are the one with the health issue and understand that you shouldn't ask anyone else to lessen their enjoyment of the game for your sake.

ETA: if he wants to respect you and sit, then great but it's conceited of you to expect it of him

Very fortunate to be around some good season ticket holders who are considerate of others. We stand every once and awhile when appropriate, but otherwise sit and enjoy the game. Most of those critters are younger than me.
