I realized that and I have watched the rest of the games since then at home on tv. I don't have the back to stand there anymore for the whole game and I know that I couldnt do it anymore.
Still, why stand for the entire game from begining to end and force everyone behind you to have to stand also ?

I guess everyone gets old and broken. That's why I haven't been to a game in over ten years.

I don't stand a whole lot but appreciate those who do because that shows how passionate they are for the team.

the bigger question is why are there seats in a stadium if you are supposed to stand the whole time?

Where do (did) you sit? Outside the student section and those awful extreme lower levels, I don't see anywhere in the stadium where folks stand the entire game for every game.

There's certainly no tradition of the sort in Tiger Stadium, and people who act like there is, don't know squat.

They stood for every play. My dads business partner had season tickets that he would give us once or twice a year. We were above the south endzone.

I concur....frankly, I have to kick the kids off the xbox and sequester myself in the game room. people who bitch about people standing at games should just give their tickets to someone who fricking cares.

be the "12th" man.

Same reason there's toilet paper in the stadium bathroom stalls. You have the option to sit down and take a dump, but it doesn't mean the guy in front of you isn't gonna piss all over the seat.

I guess the solution to this ongoing problem is to designate certain sections as "standing only" sections, take the seats out which adds another standing row so twice as many bad arse standers can have a love fest!

Yelling helps the team. Standing doesn't.
