Did Drew Brees' selfish holdout hurt the Saints's offense Sunday

No off season workouts with Saints.
Or was this just a coincidence?

It was arrogance. He was so full of himself that he told the o-line that he didn't need them to block.

E-X-E-C-U-T-I-O-N was the problem.
BTW, Drew doesn't play defense or catch the ball.

Going to be a long week around here. Keep up the good fight against the numbnuts.

But he does throw the ball. And IMO, the lack of off season workouts with key players played a role.
BTW, when the fans are giving him most of the credit for the Saints success, do you add, "BTW, Drew doesn't play defense or catch the ball."?

Drew didn't jump offsides and give them a thrid down conversion. He wasn't the 12th man on the field who gave them a first down instead of a punt. He didn't commit PI on 4th Down. He didn't fumble at the goal line.
Yes, Drew had the worst 3 TD game in his career, but the holdout wasn't the reason. If you look at history, he has one clunker of a game every year. This was this year's.

no, what hurt the saints was the defense getting raped all game long and the saints not able to play more balanced on offense. when you have to throw that many times it's a bad thing.
saints must play better defense to allow the offense to run.

To be fair: RG3 is a great player, and the Skins came in with a great gameplan that they executed well.
We also let them off the hook several times when they would have punted, turned it over on downs, or actually had punted.

You left out the awful 4Q INT.

Yes, that's part of my description of this game as one of his worst ever.
But his holdout had nothing to do with it. He missed exactly zero training camp practices.

Some. But everyone on here sucks him off so much that its not possible for him to have a bad game.

So now that this is out of the way, when are you gonna post your first Mark Sanchez thread, Tangerine?

nobody wants to acknowledge this, but the penalties just raped us.
that's a sign of a poorly coached team, and while some of those penalties were ticky tack, most were legit. We looked like a badly coached team.
I can't imagine this could be because we're missing our....uh....head coach.

didn't help agreed.
The Harper PI was a total joke. Gave them 6 pts on 4th and 1
and the hold on #85 next series set them back to 1s and 20
neither call was correct but should have never allowed this game to get to that point

We've seen it before. When the receivers begin to drop passes and offense struggles, Brees fights even harder and sometimes forces stuff he wouldn't normally force just to try and make something happen for the offense.
The Redskins did not give anything away during the Preseason on how they would use RG III, which hurt the defense when it came to game planning. They made some adjustments at halftime, but let's face it - having a mobile QB who can actually hit the target when he throws is going to give A LOT of defenses Hell.
The Saints are the best team in the NFL at making adjustments, and like we've seen before - even when they have a horrendous game, they still have a chance to win at the end.

He didn't have his A game, but he he still made some nice plays(mainly avoiding multiple sacks and gaining something out of it).
He made some poor throws, but he also made a lot of good ones that guys just didn't catch.

Drew was a lot better when he only had one rug rat running around the house.
