South Carolina in 2007 had some water coming from somewhere, definitely not the sky though.

Topwater that game was in 1988 ... I remember it all too well!

the year florida beat us by like 100 when saban was coach it rained
2001 - as good as that team was, lost by 4 touchdowns to the Gators and by 11 points to Ole Miss, both in Tiger Stadium.

Then there was the WHITE OUT VANDY game ... POURING rain ... when Borne said "show us your white" I remember the stsdium going from all colors of ponchos to PURE WHITE. Beginning of Dinardo era!
Then was it the OSU game when the sheriff deputies were chasing the streaker in the rain? That was some funny stuff ... good times.
Anyone remember umbrellas being allowed in the stadium? That was a DANGEROUS thing in the student section ... I think we tried using them for the '88 Miami game but it was futile. The cheerleaders were slip and sliding in the puddle in front of the student section.

I will add this:
In the Summer and early Fall in South Louisiana in rains VERY frequently in the afternoon and usually stops by nightfall. LSU's games are historically at night so right as kickoff is about to happen, the sky clears.
That adds to the legend.

Don't remember
When I was a kid the first recollection I have of LSU football was listening to an LSU/Bama game on the radio....it rained the entire game and ended 6-3(I think). Mid to late 70's

Was at the Florida State game when it rained all fricking day, soaked to the bone. Also, the 1982 game with Tulane when it rained a bunch...especially Tiger tears at the ending of that one.

We also played Florida State around 1990 (again, might be wrong on the year) and that was another gullywasher.
I was there. Torrential rain.

I think it has to do with the nickname Death Valley. Where it also never rains. Literally.

yes the condensation in the air vs Oregon State 04 was almost classified as rain, but not quite
Yeah, there was so much Never in the Stadium at one point you couldn't see the field.
But rain, no.

True it sometimes rains OUTSIDE the stadium and wind blows some water in, but it never actually rains in the stadium
The clothes that I wore to the Miami game in 1988, along with the wallet I ruined at the same game, call bullshite on this one

The 2006 game against Fresno State had so much condensation they delayed the start of the game.

I remember that game! The "condensation" that night made the color on my leather belt bleed out. We stopped an ate at my favorite seafood joint on the way back and when we went in it looked like I came from a murder scene hahaha. That's the night me and my friends coin the phrase, "quit being a Randle" when someone did something dumb!

ugasickem -
In the 2008 Alabama-LSU game in Death Valley - Dan Borne' (aforementioned P.A. announcer) uttered one of the more beautiful descriptions I've ever heard.
It was at the end of the 3rd quarter - when TGBFTL always plays "Hold That Tiger" and LSU was very much in the game.
It was beginning to get dark (the game had started at 5:00 I believe) and Borne' eloquently stated:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the sun has found it's place in the western sky, which can only mean one thing - it's Saturday night in Death Valley !!"
But it was the WAY he said it - bone chilling!
We lost in OT though 27-21......
