even splitting time....if he were a feature back, he would have a shot at 2000 yards...dude is a beast......

why did the other thread get whacked?

Agree he is a beast, but don't get ahead of yourself on this one...we will play better teams/defenses than N Texas. A feature back defenitely would break a 1000 yards behind this O-line!

don't know....I was thinking I didn't hit enter and just didn't post it...had walked away from computer and came back and it wasn't there....don't know why it would get whacked at all....

I could see blue and Hilliard both going over 1000 easy.
1500 would be a feat sharing carries.
Heisman contender if we Lattimore'd him.

feature back would only have to run about 75 yards per game....x 14 games....to get 1000.....I think hilliard is the type that can get 100+ per game average...

Been saying the same thing. If he was used in a featured role, he would be contending for the Heisman. He will be the best pro among our RB's. I like Blue, but no way would I select him to get more carries than Hilliard. BEAST.

if LSU is in the running for NC....and he was a featured back...yes.....not a doubt....of course...we could probably say that with most of our backs...

Hold your Horses Hombre. Lets get to the meat of the SEC schedule before we start crowning this kid.

I could see this if the workload stayed the same, but Ware will be healthy next week. He won't be satisfied sitting by while Blue/Hilliard get the lions' share of the work and neither will Ford. You also have to figure that Hill will have a game or two where he gets time.
These guys are all competitive and hungry for carries. It's just way to early to tell. Last year, you could have said the same thing about Ware but Ford ended up leading in rushing yards.

Hilliard had a run longer than any single rush by a rb last year.
And that was in game one. I honestly see, and expect greatness.

You can easily see blue going for 1000 after his game against NT?

You know this has happened about 10 times in the history of college football, right?

I agree Hilliard will be a great back, but any of our great RBs could have run through the holes created on those two long runs. Where Hilliard will really be invaluable will be against bigger, quicker SEC D lines where his size takes over.

I agree
Also, Hilliard is good, but not good enough for Heisman consideration. If he was fast, then okay. But he just has average running back speed.

Richardson bow legged running was effective but not very fast, and he was at the Heisman show last year

yes....but these days there are very few featured backs for one...and for two, we play more games today.....if LSU achieves great success, they would play 14 games.....he would need to average a little over 140 a game...which some games he wouldn't get.....but when you look at LSU's schedule...there are games he could get 200 if featured....easily.....and from what I see...they only play two defenses that will can shut down the run....bama and florida....was not impressed with SC defense...and Wash, Auburn, Arky, Ole Miss, townson, idaho, a&m...well at their defense....
I am probably being a little over zealous I realize....but the guy is huge and has speed....just a beast.

yes but he did do it last year as a true freshman...when he finally got to play....yes any could have.....but while some say he has average speed...maybe so...but he doesn't have average size.....for his size, he is very fast...and elusive.
