I don't think Turner is a fine rb2 in a PPR.
Why?
Let me guess: he's fat, slow, 300 carries every year are wearing him down? Yeah, people have been saying that the last 2 years.
Or
New offensive system? Jacquizz Rodgers is not an every down RB. He doesnt even look like a good 3rd down back. Jason Snelling is a career backup. What exactly are they going to do? Is one of those guys getting goal line carries over Turner? People are using Reggie Bush, McGahee, Bradshaw etc as RB2s. It's not like it's a glamorous title.
This is a prime example of shite that happens every year. X running back is old, young Y running back is behind him. Let's start a fuss and try and predict a well established vet losing his job.
He's scored 50 TDs in 4 years. Went over 1k 3 of 4. Had a YPC over 4 every year. I don't care if he gets yards in garbage time or whatever.. none of that shite matters in fantasy football except the numbers.

don't talk down to me gyno, its ok if people don't like the same players you do.
Turner is still the featured back in Atlanta and no I don't see rodgers overtaking him. I'd still prefer not to depend on him in a PPR as my RB2. He all but disappeared down the stretch last year save a big game against TB in week 17, which isn't a fantasy relevant week for most anyway.

talking down to you?
gimme a break. i dont care if you like him or not. i dont even "like" him per say.
i explained why i thought he was still a legitimate RB2.
I wanted you to dive in a little further than "I don't think hes a good RB2"
Also, he has caught 6 for 50 in 3 preseason games (2 games of 3 rec, 1 game of 0). He caught 17 passes total in 16 games last season. The new offense is only going to add to his fantasy point total in PPR. And he didn't get carries in the last preseason game, leading me to believe he isn't going anywhere as ATL's main ball carrier.

12 team PPR I'd say yeah he's a good #2. I just think he's a low end RB2 in a 10 team PPR.
I explained why I don't like him.

I always assume this is the standard, which is why i said that.

OP said he's in a 10 team, so I assumed when he asked about his team in his league that's what we were discussing. My mistake
the "talk down" was said in jest, but you did start with your "ohhh let me guess he's fat blah blah blah" as if my opinion was uninformed

turner is good until they play a good defense. he never shows when they play a good defense

not sure of his schedule this year
but he plays TB, NO, and CAR 2x each
He ran for 542 against them last year for a 5 ypc average

right. he will produce pretty good against poor defenses (which he should) but not do a damn thing against good defenses (a good rb will produce decent numbers against a stiff defense)

Update:
I picked up Rodgers and I have a pending trade Fitzgerald for Fred Jackson!

170 of that came in week 17 against TB in which ff was already over, not to mention 81 of that came in 1 blotched play by TB.
So 370 in 5 games against TB,CAR, and NO. Sorry but that is just bad.
I'm the biggest falcons fan on the planet but Turner was trash last year unless the game was already out of reach. He would have 20 or so carries in the first 3 qtrs for like 75 yards and then break a run in the 4th when the game was out of reach.
I just don't have faith he will have the same luck this year. I think best case scenario he hits 1000 yds rushing, I dont see anymore than 1100. If that is okay for your RB2 then that's fine.

Thoughts on Micheal Turner???

I had Turner at RB2 last year. My memory is that he was okay in my 12-team, non-PPR league until he got dinged up mid-season. I had Marshawn Lynch on the bench and switch them out at just the right time. I say Turner gets his 1000 yards, but not much more. I look for Ryan to go off with his quality receiving corps.
For a 12-team league, I'd take Turner at RB2 if I was stacked at other positions because Turner is unlikely to get you a zero in points like some RBBC might. But in a 10 team league, you might want more out of that slot.

Seriously?

Well that's 4ypc. I wouldn't call that bad. CAR was 3rd in the league in rush D. NO was 6th.

As a Falcon fan you should recognize that this is his MO. Wear down defenses then expose them in the 4th quarter. Even so, none of that matters in fantasy football. He's been a top 8 fantasy back twice in four years in ATL. 14th another time and 34th the year he was hurt.

I play in 12 and 14 team leagues. Im confident he will fall in the top 24 or top 28.. you disagree? He has 10+ TDs every year in ATL. He's still the best goal line option. And he will catch more balls this year.

I could see him fall in the top 20-28 RB range. I would have to look at that range last year to see what exactly that is getting you.
He is the best goal line option they have but they weren't exactly a good goalline team last year. I think Rodgers will be the back they focus on catching balls out of the back field but I agree Turner will have more catches TY vs LY.
What it comes down to is I just cant see Turner finishing in the top 15 of RBs. If you aren't arguing against this point, then it sounds like we agree with each other.
