Best fans from opposing school.

Over the years there have been schools that we get along with better than others. Washington a few years ago on the road for example, WV here a couple of years ago really raved about how well they were treated, Nebraska fans and ours seem to get along well especially with the whole Omaha thing. Which fans have coexisted with us the best, and are the most respected in your opinion ?

Of the big name schools LSU has faced over the years, I was shocked at how cool the Ohio State fans are. They "get it" when it comes to pregame smack, and give it right back. They understand it's all in good fun.

Notre Dame fans... they give smack all day before the game. Ratchet up with 9 NC etal Irsih BS at the start of the game.
Get their arse kicked.
Then they congratulate LSU fans, exit and disappear into the night.

We don't cross paths alot, but you will not find a fanbase that is nicer to opposing fans, comes out to support their team with enthusiasm and fun and a sense of humor, despite their lack of success than USCe.

There was a true dichotomy between the traveling WV fans and the WV fans at home. They were very similar to Kentucky fans when they were in BR but the worst fan base I've ever experienced when we played them in Morgantown.

Worst: Ole Miss is runaway #1. Arkansas and Alabama are bad, but nowhere near as bad as Ole Miss. Arrogant jackasses the lot of them.
Best: Georgia and Florida fans provide the best combination of partying, smack-talking and fun. West Virginia fans were also very cool.
Friendliest: Notre Dame fans were off the scales in this category. When I went there in '81 and again in '98, everybody there was eager to help make sure we enjoyed our visit. Virginia Tech fans were also very nice. Auburn fans used to be that way in the '90s, but it seemed like everything changed in 2001.

I have gotten along great with Husker fans, and Ohio State fans.
I was in the middle of many UGA fans (two that are close friends of mine) at the SECCG and was treated well.
Don't care for the fans of any Florida school.
I actually heard some Bammers on Finebaum giving props to LSU, along with Bama, while ragging on the ACC, and I have had some good friends that were Bammers, otherwise I don't care for most SEC fans outside of LSU, with the worst being Razorbacks, of which some are cousins of mine.

Most fans that travel are cool. It's when you go to the home stadiums that you run into issues, and that only rarely, IME.
