Oh come on man. I'm not saying he belongs in with these acting greats, but the guy has made some decent movies, for crying out loud.

Thirteen Days
I know a lot of people love Field of Dreams but it wasn't my favorite... I just never was able to make the leap and buy into the idea of the movie for some reason

Open Range is probably the best modern western.
And he directed it as well.
