Because every year only about 1/4-1/2 of them pick an SEC school to win the National Championship. And every year 3/4-1/2 of them are wrong.
Also some of them seem to be picking Michigan to beat Bama just as a lot of them picked Oregon to beat LSU; which is dumb

ESPN was pushing hard fot the AP to give USC their title in 03. Reporting Miles to Michigan in 07. DO I need to even mention how hard they were rooting for Bama to get into NC game this past season. Also Holtz is a dumbass
