That's worthy of a call up when the roster expands in September.

his overall average in AAA is .235 in 85 AB with 6 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, and 8 RBIs. he also has 39 Ks in those 85 ABs. His OPS dipped from .808 to .698 since being called up. He's not ready yet. A 6 game sample size isn't enough. It's possible I guess, but he's still struggling. On the other hand, if you get a chance to check it out on milb.com, Leon Landry has been tearing the cover off the ball all year and is hitting about .450 since being traded. I expect him to be playing AA ball next year. Ryan Schimpf also got called up recently and has had an awesome season as well.

get that avg up a bit, and he'll be in the bigs soon enough.

You can't strike out in 40% of your at-bats in Triple-A and expect to have any success in the bigs.

for a base thief like mitchell, his OBP may be more important than his BA. What is it in AAA?

for virtually any player, OBP is more important than BA

But having a super high K rate like that in the minors is concerning...

If AAA/AA pitchers are fooling you that much, what do you think seasoned major leaguers are going to do to you?

Jared had a lot of K's at LSU also. It's all or nothing. He will continue to refine his batting and make it to the bigs.

It will be awesome to see a fellow New Iberian make it to the bigs.
