Again, are you serious. That outcome is possible anywhere. He's had the same support system for three years that everybody is saying now he needs so much. The majority of ppl who go to rehab , "go to" rehab for a reason. They get any from thr ppl they were associating. So I'm not sure how staying at LSU means fame and recovery, and elsewhere is a high percentage of failure. If he seriously wants to get clean then he should be able to do that anywhere.

He, more than likely, isn't going to be enrolled in any school this fall so he can dedicate himself to getting his life straightened out.

You can't prove that. It's speculation. If he wants to stay clean then he will. He can do they same thing elsewhere. That fictional statement below is just as plausible.

NFL "Well he left behind his demons at LSU and played good football this year. He looks to have turned his life around after he got any from the ppl he was associating with"

And that's the gamble Tyrann has to take no matter what path he chooses.

Well he wasn't smoking weed or whatever he was doing in class so I'm not sure that matters entirely. Unless somebody is watching him 24/7 (inpatient rehab) he's going to have more time on his hands than he ever had before.

Which is why this will be a life test for him. If he stays away from football for a year and screws up somewhere along the way he's done. No one will take a chance on him then.

Well he's got to learn how to make good decisions on his own, not just because someone is telling him to.

He has to want to change his path.

Are we any further than "They talked on the phone, but didn't say anything."

From an LSU standpoint they have personally and professionally extended every opportunity to him. Put yourself in that situation. How do you advise him knowing that you have early enrollment and national signing day before he even gets to the point that he can apply for reinstatement to team?

So if he does transfer to McNeese or some other school does he get 3 more strikes? If so not a bad deal since he will likely only be there a 5 months.

agreed...except MY OPINION is that he will go D1 this year.

Since this roughly the 33rd time you've messed this up, I'll try and help you out. LSU is a D1 school, as is every team in the SEC, ACC, Pac-12, etc. McNeese is a D1 school, as is every team in the SWAC, SunBelt, etc. However, LSU and the others are FBS(Football Bowl Subdivision) schools, and McNeese and Southern are FCS(Football Championship Subdivision) schools.

TM can transfer to a FCS school this year without penalty. Or a D2 or D3 school as well, but they are even smaller then the SunBelt and MAC schools of the world.

Got it?

Miles' agenda with respect to Mathieu is to help the kid do what he has to do to become a responsible adult. Whether he plays for LSU again or not is, I assure you, far less important to LM than doing what is best to help the kid learn self-discipline and gain maturity
