People who use the theory that Tywin "suddenly left KL," I could've sworn that he left because he was pissed that Aerys was marrying Rhaegar to Elia Martell instead of Cersei

he was. the tyrion/aerys theories are pretty dumb, IMO. twyin got pissed b/c aerys basically said he wouldn't marry rhaegar to the help and it crushed his daughter's dreams of being the queen. cersei said in one of her povs tha tywin used to smile around her so you know he had to be pissed the frick off when his little daughter was disappointed.

And you do remember Tywin's dying words? "You're no son of mine."
He also said that to Jamie when Jamie refused to give up his white cloak and inherit Casterly Rock.

Ok, I was just making sure. I think they Tyrion Targaryen theories are retarded. I would be legitimately fricking pissed if they came to fruition.
People just take small little things and blow them up. You can do that with anything. He is Tywin's son.

good point
I just seriously doubt that Tywin would raise Tyrion his whole life and it be a huge lie.

Especially after Tyrion's mother died. He would have fed Tyrion to the lion's if he wasn't his true born son.

once for blood=Mummers Dragon
once for gold = Jorah
once for love = Jon Snow
no question Dany is the Nisa Nisa.
George's recent coments where he said sometimes the avoidance of a prophesy makes it indirectly happen are interesting. I think he is talking Cersei. She spent all the time weary of Tyrion when she should have embraced him and joined up with him. All to come to the end to find the real little brother to be feared was the Hound.

Also, Tyrion not being Tywin's actual son means Tyrion is not the occursed kinslayer, which preserves his ability to play a major role.
Yeah, but you are forgetting that Tywin would not remotely put up with a slight like that on his house. If Aerys raped his wife, he would have immediately resigned as Hand of the King and been the first to join Robert's Rebellion. And Tywin would have almost certainly killed Tyrion if he knew he wasn't his son. He would have made it look like an accident of course, maybe put some poison in his ear, but he would have killed Tyrion as soon as his wife died. Its not like it would have been hard to get away with.

I dont think tyrion is a Targ. Chasing the three headed prophesy cost Raeghar his life. The whole three head prophesy is a mummers farse. Tywin is methodical for sure. Getting Jaime in the kingsuard, Cersei with Robert, and control of all Westeros is quite a revenge though.

Tywin was probably never more angry in his life up to that point when Jaime joined the King's Guard. Tywin definitely didn't want Jaime in the King's Guard, because that makes Tyrion the heir to Casterly Rock.

I dont know. Maybe setting up the Kingslayer to do his thing. Im sure it was Cersei's idea, probably influenced by Tywin.

GRRM has said lots of times Tyrion is his favorite character. Maybe the imp can end of on the IT and Jaime be his "Golden Hand of the King" Jon rule the North even if he is AA. haha a guy can speculate. crackpot bump bishes

Tywin had nothing to do with that little idea. He thought Jaime was basically doing servant's work. He was definitely not thrilled about Jaime being in the King's Guard. Its probably the main reason why Tywin didn't join Robert's Rebellion earlier, because he knew Aerys would kill Jaime.

But when the time was right Tywin showed up in KL fighting for Robert. Putting Jaime in the position where he had no choice but take out the king.

I think Jon was the mummers dragon's milk brother and they were swapped in a similar manner as Mance's kid. The whole milk brother idea will pop up big again.

No way Tywin could account for that. Aerys had the greatest hostage imaginable now, and it kept Tywin out of the war until the very end. It would have been much smarter to just have Jaime fighting along side his father and them entering the war much earlier. Its not like Aerys was an extremely formidable warrior either. The only reason they sacked King's Landing is that Tywin knew that after the Battle of the Trident, the war was basically won, and he knew the Lannisters had to be on the winning side or risk extinction. Tywin knew he had to be very quick and sneaky in order to save Jaime. He was absolutely terrified on what he would walk into the Throne Room to see. Plus Jaime killing the King would most likely result in death or the Wall for Jaime, and Jaime got off extremely light for what he did.

Its hard to know. Tywin may be the biggest mummers farse in the whole novel. For all his reputation he never really does anything all that smart in the context of the game.

Aside from things involving his children, name one? He was incredibly competent, just an incompetent father.
But seriously, all Jaime really did was hand over himself as a hostage. That's all it achieved. Plus there's no way that Tywin could account for Robert's Rebellion in the first place, since none of that had happened yet. How was he supposed to know Rhaegar would have abducted Lyanna Stark, and then Aerys would roast the other Starks alive?
