IIRC, the 3500HD has either a 10 or 12-bolt front. You might be able to sneak one of those under there easier than SFA'ing it. Don't know about the frame width difference though. You can also beef up the internals pretty well with aftermarket stuff

ORRRRRRRRR I could hang a D60 under the front and a 14 bolt under the back
