So tempting, but just don't know if I'll play it much.

Same. Few weeks ago I loaded up some CSS to resharpen my skills for CS:GO...but could only get through a map or two before I got bored and went back to BF3

Not sure if this would have worked. Player movement and gun recoils in GO are drastically different from Source.

Wait, this is on PS Store and XBLA?
Does it have cross-platform play or would PC be the best way to play?

I've heard it's not that much different. I've been told upgrades are more cosmetic than anything.

It's an entirely new game, and is actually a bit more similar to 1.6 than Source. Recoil is much more difficult to control, and spraying is actually more random than in 1.6.
Weapon balance overall is significantly better than Source. SMGs are cost efficient, and the shotguns are actually effective.
And, as mentioned, player movement just feels different as well. Not necessarily good or bad, just different.

It's available to order now on Steam, and will be available on XBLA and PSN on the 21st.
Cross-platform play was scrapped for obvious reasons.

Wouldn't go that far

That's what I heard. I was better at 1.6 anyway. Besides, none of the aiming/movement is what gets me, that improves once you put time in. It's mostly binds and the flow of the game is why I was playing CSS to get back in the groove for this game.
I'll probably go ahead and buy this because it's cheap, but will probably wind up never playing it.

I only play GG in CS:S now, and it's been that way for a few years...
