As good as we are at RB, I really don't see any of our guys going pro early unless one of them has such a breakout year that his performances demands we give him the bulk of the carries.

If that's the case the we enter 2013 with the same SIX back we have now, including three Srs. I think we could take two for 2014 and still be comfortable, but might need three to protect against career injury and transfers.

If we get Fournette then we're already at one. There is usually at least one other solid in state back we can pick up.

you don't have to be a first round pick to go early. Ford and Ware are projected to be anywhere from late 3rd to 5th round picks. It is highly unlikely they would improve that postion by coming back to LSU in 2013. If they do come back, someone will likely transfer. The only reason to have someone RS in 2012 is to have him eligible for an extra year, which for the RB's will be 2015. There is no other benefit. And the only reason you want these guys in 2015 is because they are known commodities, the RB's we get in 2014 and 2015 are not.
