PSU Players

Walter Football is hyping PSU LB Gerald Hodges transferring to LSU. Could be interesting.

Hodges would be a huge get, start at OLB opposite of Tahj Jones and really shore up the LB corps.

Agreed. A much more exciting possibility than Bolden. However, i think the article is about the fact that Hodges "should" transfer to LSU. We'll see.

This I wouldn't mind. He's a beast with one year of eligibility left, so it wouldn't count against us next year, plus he's a great player

Writer gave no indication at all that Hodges has any interest in LSU. Sounds great but he simply said that his for draft stock he should come. Doesn't mean anything IMHO. .

This is exactly why I'd be for it. It's a no lose situation. Either he meshes well with the team and does great, if he doesn't then just keep him on the bench then he leaves for the NFL. Now I think he'd fit in just fine, just making the point that there really is no down side.

Now let's just hope the LB is thinking the same thing as this reporter.

Yep, unfortunately this isn't even a rumor, just a wish-list thing.

Hodges is damn good though, not only is he physical and a great tackler...but he's very good in coverage too being a former safety.

Yea he's a very good player and I'd love to have him for a year while our young LB's mature and develop. But in reality, right now without another source, this is simply a pipe dream if ive ever seen one.

He's a senior & I doubt any of the upperclassmen would be leaving. I'm sure he's a JoPa supporter & won't do anything to go against the football program at this point in his career. Too much to lose.

I dunno... almost guarenteed to walk in and start for a SEC and BCS Title contender, while playing for one of the best defenses in CFB this year????

Playing on tha big stages helps bring tha big $$$ come next spring.

It would be something almost anyone would at least have to give a second thought to.

Not happening guys. Just this morning Hodges publically called out his PSU teammates who are looking to transfer and basically called them cowards. He's 100% staying at PSU.
